taco mac & cheese

When it comes to filling, delicious comfort food, it’s tough to beat good ole mac & cheese. This one adds an extra kick with some taco meat, mushrooms and zukes. It all comes together with the cheese sauce powder from packit gourmet.


  • 2 pkgs taco “meat”
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 pkg mushrooms, quartered
  • 1 zucchini, sliced and quartered
  • 1 box of macaroni
  • cheese sauce powder (from packit gourmet)


saute onions in a little bit of oil
add mushrooms and zukes til they’re relatively cooked
add taco meat and cook some more

boil it like pasta. go a little past al dente to help with rehydration texture.


dehydrate meat and pasta on separate trays at ~135º.

Bag it Up – 4 servings

weigh and bag the meat and pasta.
add  a healthy portion of powdered cheese sauce to the bag.
